Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information Pyromaniac Duck collects through our website and Android apps, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have.

01Who we are

Pyromaniac Duck (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an independent mobile app studio. We publish Android apps on Google Play and operate the website at pyromaniacduck.com.

For the purposes of data protection law, we are the controller of the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us at info@pyromaniacduck.com or by post at [YOUR BUSINESS ADDRESS].

02What this policy covers

This policy applies to:

  • our website and any pages hosted under our domain; and
  • our mobile apps distributed through Google Play (the “Apps”).

Each App is different. The Data safety section of an App’s Google Play listing describes what that specific App collects and shares, and we may link to an App-specific privacy notice from its listing. If an App-specific notice conflicts with this policy, the App-specific notice applies to that App.

03Information we collect

What we collect depends on how you use our website and Apps. We aim to collect the minimum needed to run and improve them.

Information you give us

  • Messages and support requests. If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you choose to tell us.
  • Account details. If an App lets you create an account, we process the details needed to provide it (for example an email address or a sign-in identifier).
  • Content you create in an App, where the App has features that store or sync your content.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and app information, such as device model, operating system version, language, app version and anonymous or app-specific identifiers.
  • Usage and diagnostics, such as features used, session length, crash reports and performance data, which help us find and fix problems.
  • Approximate location derived from your IP address (for example country), which we may use for analytics, security and compliance. We do not collect precise location unless an App clearly asks for that permission and explains why.
  • Website logs. Our hosting provider may record technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps for security and reliability.
  • Website analytics, only if you allow it. If you accept analytics in our cookie banner, we may collect anonymous statistics about how the website is used. See our Cookie Policy.

Information from third parties

Google Play may share limited information with us about installs, ratings, and (where applicable) purchase or subscription status. Advertising or analytics partners used by an App may provide aggregated reports.

What we do not collect

We do not knowingly collect sensitive categories of information (such as health, biometric or financial account data) unless an App says so clearly in its Data safety section and in the App itself.

04How we use information

  • To provide, operate and maintain our website and Apps.
  • To respond to your questions, feedback and support requests.
  • To understand how Apps are used, fix bugs, and improve performance and features.
  • To process purchases and subscriptions made through Google Play, where an App offers them.
  • To show advertising in Apps that are supported by ads, where applicable.
  • To detect, prevent and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents and technical issues.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

05Legal bases (EEA, UK and similar regions)

Where laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on one or more of the following bases for processing personal information:

  • Contract — to provide an App or service you asked for.
  • Legitimate interests — to secure, maintain and improve our services, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Consent — for example where the website or an App asks permission for optional analytics, personalised ads or device permissions. You can withdraw consent at any time in the App, your device settings, or via “Cookie settings” in our website footer.
  • Legal obligation — to meet requirements such as tax, accounting or lawful requests.

06How we share information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only in these situations:

  • Service providers that process data on our behalf under contract — for example hosting, crash reporting, analytics and cloud storage providers.
  • Platform providers. Google Play and Google Play services process data according to Google’s own policies when you download, pay for or use our Apps.
  • Advertising partners, only in Apps that show ads. These partners may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve and measure ads; the App’s Data safety section and in-app consent screens explain what applies.
  • Legal and safety. Where required by law, court order or to protect rights, safety and security.
  • Business changes. If we merge with, or sell assets to, another company, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

Third-party providers we may use include Google (Google Play, Firebase, Google Analytics, AdMob). Their practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy.

07How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy. Support emails are kept while we deal with your request and for a reasonable period afterwards. Account data is kept while your account is active and deleted after you ask us to delete it (see Data Deletion), unless we must keep some of it to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes or prevent fraud. Aggregated or anonymised data may be kept longer.

08Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, such as encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your information has been compromised, contact us right away.

09Children’s privacy

Our website and Apps are not directed to children under 13 (or under the minimum age required in your country, such as 16 in parts of the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you;
  • correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • delete your personal information;
  • restrict or object to certain processing;
  • receive your information in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and
  • complain to your local data protection authority.

Residents of California and some other US states may also have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Residents of Türkiye have the rights listed in Article 11 of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK), including the right to learn whether their data is processed, to request correction or deletion, and to apply to the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK).

To exercise a right, email info@pyromaniacduck.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting. You can also control data collection on your device: reset or delete your Android advertising ID, manage app permissions in Settings, or uninstall an App at any time.

11International transfers

We and our service providers may process information in countries other than your own, including countries that may have different data protection rules. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

12Cookies and similar technologies

Our website’s use of cookies and local storage, and how to change your choices, is described in our Cookie Policy. Apps may use device identifiers and SDKs that work similarly; these are covered by this policy and each App’s Data safety section.

13Third-party links

Our website and Apps may link to third-party sites and services, including Google Play. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, and we encourage you to read their policies.

14Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top and, for material changes, give additional notice (for example on our website or in an App). Please review it periodically.
